O/o the Director General of Police, Government of Arunachal Pradesh has revealed an employment notification for the filling up the 108 posts of Constable (Driver) vacancies in Arunachal Pradesh (Civil Police/ IRBN). Interested candidates fulfilling the below mentioned norms may apply in prescribed application format from 25.04.2016 to 19.05.2016 (till 04:00 PM). Other details with respect to eligibility criteria, selection process, how to apply are given below.

1. Vacancies against Civil Police: 05 Posts
(i) APST: 04 Posts
(ii) General: 01 Post
2. Vacancies against IRBN -103 Posts
(i) APST- 74 Posts
(ii) APST EX-SM - 08 Posts
(iii) General - 21 Posts
Place of Posting: The selected persons will be posted at any district or location in Arunachal Pradesh.
(i) Should be Class VIII pass for APST & Class X pass for General candidates from recognized board/institution
(ii) Should possess valid driving license for LMV/MMV/HMV
(iii) At least 3 years of experience of driving LMV/MMV/HMV
Age Limit: Candidates should be in the age group of 18-28 years as on 01.01.2016. Age relaxation will be applied to APST to the extent of 05 years.
(i) Height – 5’5” for General & 5’3” for APST
(ii) Chest – 79 cms (normal) & 84 cms (expanded) for male candidates only.
Scale of Pay: (PB-1) Rs. 5,200 – 20,200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2,000/- per month
Pattern of Selection: Applications received by the department will be shortlisted on the basis of fulfillment of eligibility criteria. Applicants shortlisted for the position will be required to undergo following stages of selection:-
(i) Physical Endurance / Efficiency Test – Qualifying in nature
(ii) Written Test & Trade Test – 300 Marks
(iii) Personal Interview/ Viva-voce – 40 Marks
(iv) A final merit list will be prepared accordingly considering overall marks obtained by the candidates in the test/interview.
(v) Medical Examination and Character & Antecedent verification will be conducted for final selection.
Application Charges: Rs. 40/- for General candidates (Rs. 10/- for APST) is required to be paid through Treasury Challan in favour of Asst Inspector General of Police (E), PHQ, Itanagar under Head of Account “0055″ Police.
