Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Government of Goa invites applications for the vacant positions of Forest Guards for deployment under Forest Department. Eligible and interested personnel are encouraged to apply as per given terms of reference.

Qualification Standard: Persons acquiring Secondary School Certificate or equivalent are eligible to apply. Knowledge of regional language i.e., Konkani is essential. Proficiency in Marathi will be desirable.

Age Criteria: Minimum age is 18 years and maximum age in 35 years prescribed for the post of Forest Guard. The crucial date for determining age shall be 22.02.2016. Relaxation in upper age limit allowable as per rules of the Govt.

Physique Requirement:

(i) Height – Male 163 cms; Female 150 cms

(ii) Chest – Male 79 cms (expansion 05 cms); Female 74 cms (expansion 05 cms)

(iii) Walking Test - Male candidates to complete 25kms & female candidates to complete 16 kms in 4 hours.

Pay Scale: Rs.4,440- 7,440/- with Grade Pay of Rs.1,400/- per month

Selection Norms: The recruitment process comprise of the following stages:

(i) Written Test consisting objective type questions of SSC standard

(ii) Physical Measurement and Walking Test as per prescribed standard,
