VITEEE (Vellore Institute of
Technology) conducts Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam.
It conducts exam for the admission in Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and
Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.)
Educational
Qualifications: Applicant must have done 10 plus 2 HSC or Inter or 2 yrs
pre-university exam or HSC or General certificate education (GCE) examination
at A level or and must have 60% of aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics / Biology, applicants those who have studied Physics, Chemistry and
Math are entitled for the B.Tech degree programmes (13) offered. Applicants
with course Physics, Chemistry and Biology are entitled only for B.Tech_
Bioinformatics, Bio-Medical Engineering_ and Biotechnology programmes_.
Age Criteria: Applicant with DOB
on/after July 1st 1991 is entitled to apply for the examination.
Application Fees: The fee can be paid
in online and off line modes. Online at via Net banking /Credit card
/Debit card; DD mode, aspirant need to pay Rs.900/- and must send the hard copy
of application to university, to the Director-UG Admissions, VIT University,
Vellore-632014 and By offline mode applicant can take the brochure and the
information bulletin for the B.Tech, with application form and self- addressed
envelope, can be managed by payment of cash in Rs. 950/- from any post offices
mentioned on the website of VIT www.vit.ac.in or it can also be taken in person
from the VIT University, Vellore campus; VIT University, Chennai campus; Chennai
Administrative Office, New No. 6, (Old No. W-73), Second Street (Opposite
Towers Club), Anna Nagar, Chennai-600040 (Tel- 044-42016555, 65480555, Fax-
044-26222555), by handing over a DD of Rs. 950/-_ that has to be drawn in favor
of VIT University, payable at Vellore or via post by sending a DD of Rs.
950/-drawn in favor of VIT University, payable at Vellore, with a top note
addressed to Director-UG Admissions, VIT University, Vellore-632014, requesting
for the application form and by mentioning their complete correspondence
address.
Selection Procedure: The applicant will
get admission on the basis of entrance examination and will be admitted to the
course through counseling.
Procedure to Apply: Applicant can visit
official website of VIT www.vit.ac.in. The application complete in all manner
should reach as it was obtained by the applicant along with the enclosures
mentioned in the check list by 28th Feb 2013.
Exam Pattern: The exam is divided
into 3 sections in objective type questions namely Physics, Chemistry and
Math/Biology. The applicant has to make the option for the programme which they
need to opt for. There will be 40 questions of 1 mark.

Physics: Atomic Physics,
Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Dual Nature Of Radiation And Matter,
Effects of Electric Current, Electromagnetic Waves and Wave Optics,
Electromagnetic Induction And Alternating Current, and Nuclear Physics and
Semiconductor Devices and Their Applications.
Chemistry: Atomic Structure,
Thermodynamics, Isomerism in Organic Compounds, Coordination Chemistry and
Solid State Chemistry, p,d and f Block Elements, Chemical Equilibrium And
Chemical Kinetics Electrochemistry, Carboxylic Acids and their derivatives,
Alcohols and Ethers Carbonyl Compounds, Organic Nitrogen Compounds and
Biomolecules.
Mathematics: Applications of
Matrices and Determinants, Integral Calculus and Its Applications, Complex
Numbers, Differential Calculus, Read more at

downloaded from the website of the VIT.
Date of Exam: VITEEE-2013will be
conducted on 15th Apr 2013 to 30th Apr 2013
Last date for the compliance of
application is 28th Feb 2013.
