Exam Details: UPPGMEE (Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination ) 2012 for admission in to various Postgraduate courses such as MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), PG Diploma and MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) Courses for session 2012 in the U.P. State Medical Colleges of Agra, Kanpur, Meerut and in Medical faculty of CSM Medical University. The fund raising activities were completed within a few months, notable contributors being Maharaj of Balrampur, Maharaj of Ayodhya, Raja of Jehangirabad, Rana Sheoraj Singh and Nawab Yusuf Ali.
About UPPGMEE: In 1870, the Maharaja of Vijaynagaram first floated the idea of starting a medical college in Lucknow and offered to donate Rs 3 lacs, but due to paucity of funds this was not passed by the Government and the dream of the Maharaja could not take shape. It was in 1905 that, to commemorate the visit of Prince of Wales to India, the Raja of Jehangirabad and Sir Taussuduq Rasool requested the Raja of Ayodhya to persuade Sir James LaTouche, Lt. Governor of United Provinces (now Uttar Pradesh) to recommend the establishment of the medical college to the Governor of India.
How to get the application Form:
1.) You can apply online by visiting the website : www.csmmu.in, www.kgmcindia.edu.
2.) A scanned ( resolution 300 dpi ) ‘.jpg’ file of your signature. File size should not be bigger than 512 KB.
3.) A ‘.jpg’ file of your photograph taken with a 4MP (or more) camera. File size should not be bigger than 1MB. For instructions to be given to your Photographer see website : www.csmmu.in, www.kgmcindia.edu.
4.) Take a print of your application and admit card and save it.
5.) Last date for submitting UPPGMEE online completed application: 4th February, 2013.
6.) Interested candidates can get the application forms for UPPGMEE from the selected State Bank of India branches and also from all the participating institutes against a Demand Draft of Rs.1200.
7.) The completed application form in all respect has to be submitted at the following given address in person or by post on or before the last date. The admit card will be issued to the candidates through e-mail, the copy of which they have to attain and produce during the admission test.
Exam Pattern: The examination pattern of UPPGMEE is as follows:
A.) Duration of the examination is 3.00 Hours (180 Minutes).
B.) The examination is conducted in English medium only.
C.) The examination shall consist of one paper of 200 questions of multiple choices.
D.) Each question shall carry 4 marks each.
Negative marking scheme is there for the entrance exam. One mark shall be deducted for each incorrect answer. Zero (0) mark will be awarded for no response. Indicating more than one choice for any question shall be considered as incorrect response, except where questions have two correct responses.
