Exam Details: Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Residential Institutions Society (APTWREIS), Gurukulam has offering notification against recruitment of 14 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). The Board shall be a body corporate. It shall exercise powers throughout Uttar Pradesh and its headquarters shall be at Allahabad. The Board shall consist of a chairman and ten members.

Legislature an Act to establish Secondary Education (Service Selection Boards)
Act, 1982 for the selection of teachers in institutions recognised under the
Intermediate Education Act, 1921. The appointment of teachers in secondary
institutions recognised by the Board of High School and Intermediate Education
was governed by the Intermediate Education Act, 1921 and regulations made
thereunder. It was felt that the selection of teachers under the provisions of
the said Act and the regulations was some times not free and fair. Besides, the
field of selection was also very much restricted.

Exam Pattern: The prelims exam consists of two parts – Part-1 & Part-2
with total 150 Objective Type questions to be answered in 3.00 hours (180
minutes). However, for preparing the merit list in Prelims, marks of only
Part-1 is considered (110 marks). In Part-2, you just have to score the
qualifying marks only. Details of these two parts of KVS Preliminary
Examination are given below:
Part – 1: (Aptitude test)
Part-1 consists of 110 Questions, 1 mark per question with following test areas:
i) General Awareness (GK, Current Affairs, Indian Constitution, General Science).
ii) Test of Reasoning.
iii) Quantitative Aptitude test.
iv) Teaching Aptitude test.
Part – 2 (Language competency test): Only qualifying in nature.
40 Questions, 1 mark per question.
40 Questions, 1 mark per question.
English language: 20 marks.
Qualifying mark for English: 5 marks.
Hindi language: 20 marks. Qualifying
mark for Hindi: 5 marks.
Qualifying marks for whole of part-2
(i.e. both languages combined): 13 marks.
There is no negative marking. So do
not leave any question unanswered.
Based on the relative performance of
all the candidates, the cut-off mark for KVS PGT Prelims exam would be decided
by KVS examiners and those above the cut-off would be called for the Mains
exam.
