About IBPS
PO: This prototype
initiative was extended to provide these services with all the academic and
operational inputs to the banking industry initially which now has been
extended to non-banking sectors as well. In 1984 this unit became an
independent entity – Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) at the
behest of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Public Sector Banks. The first
Chairman of its Governing Board was Dr Manmohan Singh, the then Governor of
Reserve Bank of India.
Exam Name which is going to be held: Probationary Officers or Management Trainees
Educational Qualification: Eligible candidates can be completed in Under Graduate &
Post Graduate Degree from any recognized board university of India.
Selection Procedure:- General students can be selected on the basis of
performance in Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI).
Application Fee Details: -
1.
The Application fees is Rs. 450/- for general category and Rs. 50/- for
(SC/ST/PWD). (Payable from 09/03/2012 to 30/03/2012 (Online payment) and
12/03/2012 to 07/04/2012 (Offline payment) both dates inclusive).
2. Applicants have the option of remitting fees via on-line
mode or off-line mode
Exam Details: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has
published another important announcement for conducting a Common Written
Examination (CWE) for recruitment of Probationary Officers or Management
Trainees in 19 Public Sector Banks. The CWE for PO / Management Trainee posts
can be conducted twice a year by IBPS. The written examination will be
conducted by IBPS on 17/06/2012.

4. An online application which is incomplete in any respect
such as without photograph and signature uploaded in the online application
form will not be considered as valid.
