About INDIAN AIR FORCE: The Indian Air Force is the air arm of the Indian armed forces. Its primary responsibility is to secure Indian airspace and to conduct aerial warfare during a conflict. It was officially established on 08 October 1932 as an auxiliary air force of the British Raj and the prefix Royal was added in 1945 in recognition of its services during World War II. After India achieved independence from the United Kingdom in 1947, the Royal Indian Air Force served the Dominion of India, with the prefix being dropped when India became a republic in 1950.
Exam Details: Indian Air Force (IAF) is the air arm of the Indian armed forces. Its primary responsibility is to secure Indian airspace and to conduct aerial warfare during a conflict. It invites applications from unmarried males for the selection test for recruitment to the post Airman in Group X.
How to get the application Form: Eligible candidates can send the duly filled Application Form as prescribed on the website http://indianairforce.nic.in along with other required requisites to President, Central Airmen Selection Board, Post Box No. 11807, New Delhi - 110010 by Registered / Speed Post only.
Exam Pattern: Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Test followed by a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) to be conducted by IAF. Those who pass both the Written and PFT will be called for Interview.
