West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) invites
applications from eligible and interested candidates for filling up the vacant
positions of Deputy Ranger / Forester under Group C posts in the Department of
Forest, Govt. of West Bengal. All eligible male & female candidates may

Educational
Qualification: Candidates possessing qualification of
Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination are eligible to apply.
Age
Limit: Candidates should be in the age group of 20 – 32 years as
on 01.01.2015, i.e. candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 02.01.1995 shall
only be eligible for the Post. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 yrs for SC/ST
candidate, 3 years for OBC candidate and 10 yrs for Persons with Disability.
Pay
Scale: Pay Band-II Rs. 5,400 -25,200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2,900/-
per month.
Mode
of Selection: The process of hiring involves Written Examination,
Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Personality
Test.
Fee
Criteria: SC /ST candidates to pay
Rs.20/- and all others to pay Rs. 220/- as application fee by online
through payment gateway using Debit Cards / Credits Cards / Net banking of any
bank or submission through Tathya Mitra Kendras set
up by the Govt. of West Bengal up to the level of Gram Panchayats in the rural
areas of West Bengal.
