The Staff Selection Commission welcomes Indian applicants for different positions of Junior Engineers Examination. This notification was issued on the SSC’s authorized web portal- ssc.nic.in on 1st March, 2014.  Keen aspirants are requested to read the below mentioned details carefully and apply within the last date of 26th March, 2014.

Conditions for Eligibility:

Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical), Department of Posts
Three years Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government.
Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical), CWC and Farakka Barrage
Degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical), CPWD
Diploma in Civil , Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or equivalent qualification.

Restriction of Age:

Applicants’ age must vary between the age of 18 years and 27 years if applying for the aforesaid exam. Those who do not accomplish this prescribed age limit are not eligible to sit for this examination. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will be provided with applicable age relaxation as per norms.

Application Procedure:

All aspirants who fulfill the entire eligibility condition as per official notification can apply online by the links available on SSC official gateway- ssc.nic.in. These simple instructions can be followed for successful registration into these exams:-

1. Log on to ssconline2.gov.in and select Examination> Part I Registration.
2. Select the online application form under Junior Engineers (C, E, M etc) Examination 2014 and fill all your particulars carefully in the compulsory fields and click on “Continue”.
3. Proceed for Part II Registration after remitting the aforesaid application fee. Upload a scanned copy of your latest passport size photo and signature and enter other necessary transaction details.
4. “Submit” and take a print out of this system generated application form and keep hold of it for future use.

Registration Charges:

All unreserved applicants are liable to pay a non refundable application fee amounting to INR.100/- through Internet Banking or an SBI Challan. However all ST, PH,ES and SC applicants will be exempted from this application charge as per rules.
