About
GATE: Graduate Aptitude Test in
Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination that primarily tests the
comprehensive understanding of various Undergraduate & Postgraduate
subjects in Engineering and Technology. GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian
Institute of Science and seven IIT's (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT
Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee) on behalf of the National
Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human
Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Criteria: Desired & Eligible applicants
can possess Bachelor & Master Degree courses like Bachelor of Technology,
Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Computer Application, Master of Science,
Master of Engineering from any recognized board institute of India.

Details: Graduate Aptitude Test in
Engineering (GATE) for various Bachelor & Master Degree courses such
as B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology), B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture), BE
(Bachelor of Engineering), MCA (Master of Computer Application), MA (Master of
Arts), M.Sc (Master of Science), ME (Master of Engineering), M.Tech (Master of
Technology) for the year 2015 was announced in the second week of August 2014.

Candidates applying for GATE-2015 are required to pay non-refundable application
fee as follows depending upon their category-

Candidates ( Gen./OBC) – Rs.1500/-
Female
Candidates (All category) – Rs.750/-
SC/ST/PH
– Rs.750/-
