JEE Main Exam 2014

JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination) an all India entrance exam organized for admissions to the courses of Engineering. JEE MAIN is conducted for the NITs, IIITs and possibly CFTIs and other participating institutes’ admissions.

Educational Qualifications: Students must be passed with Mathematics, Physics, and or Computer Science / Chemistry / / Biology /Bio – Technology at least with 50% of aggregate for B.E. /B.Tech and for B. Arch applicants should have studied Mathematics with aggregate of 50%.

Age Criteria: Students with DOB after October 1st 1988 will be applicable to apply for 2013 exam.

Application Fees: fees will have to be paid online or through DD the amount vary as per the choice of applicant. Please refer to official website.

Exam Pattern: Paper I consist of Objective type questions from Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics and Paper-II consist of 3 parts, Part 1 – Mathematics, Part 2 - Aptitude Test and Part 3 - Drawing Test of 3 hrs duration. Syllabus: Paper-I will be structured for B. tech. / B. E. students in pen and paper mode. Paper -II 
will be structured for the B. Arch students in Online Mode.

Paper-II Aptitude Test:

Part - I -Visualizing three dimensional objects from two dimensional drawings, Awareness of persons, Buildings, Objects, places, Materials, Texture related to Architecture and build environment, Visualizing. Different sides of three dimensional objects, Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal) Analytical Reasoning.

Part - II Three dimensional - perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, color texture, building forms and elements, harmony and contrast, Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. elevations and 3 D views of objects, subtraction, Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, Creating two dimensional and three dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urban cape (public space, street scenes, market, recreational spaces festivals, monuments, etc.), Generation of Plan,  landscape (river fronts, gardens, trees, jungles. plants etc.) and rural life.
