CEED
(Common Entrance Examination for Design) is organized by IIT (Indian Institute
of Technology) Bombay on behalf of the MHRD (Ministry of Human Resources
Development), Government of India. The CEED is organized for the aptitude of
the applicant for design, logical reasoning, visual perception ability, drawing
skills, and creativity and communication skills for the admission in PG Courses
in Design viz.

Qualifications: The applicant should have the Graduation degree in Architecture or Engineering or Design or Interior Design or applicant must have done Diploma in Design (NID or CEPT) or B.F.A. after 10 plus 2 or G.D. Art after class 10th with experience or PG Degree in Science or Arts or Computer Applications.
Application Fees:
The application Fee is only for male candidates. The amount of Rs.1500/- and
Rs.750/- for reserved categories. No fee charges applicable on female category.
Selection Procedure: The selection of the applicant will be done on the basis of
the screening and short listing thereon interview will be followed for final
selection.
Procedure to Apply: The applicant may fill their applications online from the
website of the CEED www.gate.iitb.ac.in/ceed2015. Candidates who claim quota
have to provide authentic certificates of claiming. It has to be issued by the
concern authority. After filling application photo and sign has to be uploaded
in JPEG format and supportive documents in PDF form. No hard copy is to be
posted.

Examination Pattern:
The
CEED is organized into 2 parts. Part –A and Part-B, in the Part-A there are
multiple choice types of questions and in Part-B there is hand drawing and
Design questions. The examination is of 3 hrs duration of computer and pen
& paper exam.
The
Part-A examination is conducted for the screening of the applicants. It is a
computerized online examination. Those who will qualify this examination will
be liable to appear in Part-B examination. The minimum cut off will decide the
candidature of the applicant. Part-B score will make the final merit.
Syllabus:
The
CEED examination is consists of Visual Perception and Creative Ability test
study material, drawing sketching etc for visual sensitivity & imagination,
one’s ability of expressing on the individual topic, written communication and
ability to summarize and comprehend the English Passage.

In

based on the analytical observation of problems from the daily life situations,
