About BANK OF PUNJAB: Punjab National Bank (PNB) is an Indian financial services company based in New Delhi, India. PNB is the third largest bank in India by assets. It was founded in 1894 and is currently the second largest state-owned commercial bank in India ahead of Bank of Baroda with about 5000 branches across 764 cities. It serves over 37 million customers. The bank has been ranked 248th biggest bank in the world by the Bankers Almanac, London.
Exam Details: Punjab National Bank commenced its operations in 1895 from Lahore, with an authorised total capital of Rs 2 lakh and working capital of Rs 20,000. It has more than 5000 offices including 5 overseas branches. The bank has its Corporate Office in New Delhi and supervises 65 Circle Offices under which the branches function. Punjab National Bank (PNB) invites application for recruitment to the post of Specialist Officer from Indian citizens across various domains.
Exam Pattern: Selection for post codes 01 to 07 would be done via written test which may be conducted online or off line. The written test shall contain the following:
1. Professional Knowledge: 40 Questions - 90 Marks
2. English Language: - 35 Questions
3. Quantitative Aptitude: 35 Questions, 35 Questions Marks
4. Reasoning Ability: 50 Questions, 75 Marks
How to get the application Form: Eligible candidates need to apply only through Online mode from PNB website on or before 17th August 2012. After submission of application candidates can take a printout of the system generated on-line application form to be submitted at the time of the interview.
Online Application:
1. Log on to Bank’s website www.pnbindia.in to apply for the post online and select the ‘Recruitment’ link.
2. Select the appropriate link for downloading Cash Voucher for making payment.
3. Take print of Cash Voucher and make the payment at any of the PNB braches.
4. Upload previously scanned photograph and signature at the places provided and click on ‘Submit’ button.
5. Take print of Application Form and retain it along with the cash voucher for submission at the time of Interview.
