Presently, for the year 2016, vacancies for 500
Engineering Trainee posts are available. They will be selected through
GATE-2016. Incumbents are required in different disciplines like Mechanical,
Electronics, Electrical in streams Transportation, Power, Transmission,
Non-conventional energy and many more.
In accordance with the directives, BHEL is poised to
start the process for selection of Trainee Engineers through GATE-2016. The
particulars of the vacancies are as under-
# 300 Vacancies for Mechanical Engineering;
# 150 Vacancies for Electrical Engineering;
# 50 Vacancies for Electronics Engineering
Criteria for Eligibility (On or before 1st
day of the month August, 2016)
# In Technology/Engineering- Bachelor’s Degree;
# In Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical- Master’s
Degree/Dual Degree in Engineering/Technology;
# Degrees of Engineering from any recognized
AICTE/UPSC institution
# Selection in GATE 2016
Criteria Regarding Age
# Minimum Age 27 years on or after August 1st,
1989;
# Candidates having Post Graduate degrees in Business
Administration/Management/Engineering- 29 years of age
(Important- Age relaxation of 5 and 3 years to SC/ST
and OBC candidates)

Pay Scale
During the training period, the trainee engineers will
be given a pay scale of Rs 20,600-46,500 and later Rs 24,900-50,500.
