Punjab Police is
inviting online
applications from
male & female Indian citizens for filling up 725 posts of Intelligence
Assistant (in the rank of Constable). Eligible and willing personnel may apply
online from 09:00 AM on 01.09.2016 to 11:59 PM on 21.09.2016. The details of

Eligibility
Criteria:
(i) Educational Qualification – Candidates should possess Graduation degree from
any Govt. recognised University and ‘O’ level certificate of information
Technology from Department for Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course (DOEACC)
OR B.SC./B.Tech/B.E. in Information Technology / Computer Science / Information
System OR BCA OR Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA).
(ii) Age Limit – Range of age as on 01.09.2016 will be considered
as follows:-
- Minimum
– 21 years
- Maximum – 28 years
Candidates covered under the reserved category
like Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes are entitled
for upper age relaxation to the extent of 5 years.
(iii) Physical
Standard (Height):
- Male
- 5 feet 5 inches
- Female - 5 feet 1 inches
Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs. 10,300-34,800/- plus Grade Pay
Rs. 3200/-. Besides basic pay, other allowances and benefits as admissible

Schedule of Hiring: Selection process involves several
phases as given below:-
(i) Physical Measurement Test (PMT),
(ii) Physical Screening Test (PST),
(iii) Interview-cum-Personality Test,
(iv) Verification of documents,
(V) Medical Examination.
Cost of
Registration: Application fee should be
deposited online through Net Banking/ Debit/Credit
Card Payment OR
Offline, along with the print-out of the Fee Challan Form deposited into HDFC
Bank or Police SAANJH Kendras. Application fee chargeable for various categories
will be as follows:-
(a) General Candidates - Rs 500/-
(b) SC/ST/BC Candidates - Rs 150/-
(c) Ex-Servicemen Candidates – No Fee
