Directorate General, Border Security Force
(BSF) invites applications from male candidates of Indian origin for the post
of Constable (Tradesmen). Eligible and willing candidates may apply before last

Requisite
Educational Qualification: Candidate should have completed
Matriculation or equivalent qualification from recognized board/university with
two years of working experience in related trade OR one year certificate course
from Industrial Training Institute of Vocational Institute with at least one experience in the trade OR
two years Diploma in the concerned/similar trade.
Age
Limitation: Age of the candidate should not
be less than 18 years and not more than 23 years as on 01.08.2016. The upper
age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for
persons with Disability (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC).
Pay
Scale: (Pay Band-1) Rs. 5,200 – 20,200 + Grade Pay
Rs. 2,000/- per month plus usual allowances applicable to the Central Govt.
from time to time.
Examination
Fee:
Candidates belonging to unreserved and OBC category will have to pay Rs. 50/-
as examination fee in the form of Demand Draft/Postal Order in the name of
concerned IG/Commandant payable at bank or post office of the concerned
RAs/HQrs, under which their state falls.SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen need not pay fee.
Mode
of Selection: Candidates applying for the post
will have to undergo various stages of selection which are stated below:-
(i) Physical Standard Test (PST),
(ii) Physical Efficiency Test (PET),
(iii) Document Verification,
(iv) Trade Test,
(v) Written Test,
(vi) Medical Examination.
How
to apply: Candidates fulfilling the above requirements
may obtain prescribed application format from the official website
www.bsf.nic.in which should be printed out in foolscap size (single size)
paper. Duly filled up and signed application along with recent passport size
photographs, requisite examination fees, one self-addressed envelope of size 23
x 10 cms with affixed postage stamp of Rs. 27/- bearing name & full postal
address of the applicant and relevant testimonials & certificates should be
submitted to the respective RAs/HQrs within 30 days of the publication of
advertisement in Employment News.
Note:
The
envelope containing application form must be superscribed in capital letters as
“APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE (TRADESMEN) IN BSF-2016”.
Date
to be noted: Last date for submission of completed
application is 20th June 2016. Incomplete application or application
received after due date of submission will be rejected.
